Pangong Lake in Ladakh has becomes a must-visit destination in Ladakh, especially for the domestic tourists. Pangong is situated at the border of India and China at a elevation of 4360 m surrounded by few Nomadic Villages / hamlets  - Phograng, Lukung, Spangmik, Man and Meraks. More than half of the Lake is in China and western part of the Pangong Lake ends at Lukung. The Pangong Lake is popular for its change of color from Dark-Deep-Blue to crystal-clear-light-blue with the change of light. The mountains surrounding the Pangong lake frames the lake perfectly for any photograph.

Serious Care should be taken for people who arrive Leh by air, not to travel this route without proper acclimmitization. Two of the highest passes in the world - the Khardong La Pass (5602m) and Changla Pass (5373 m) had to negotiated to complete this journey.  Proper Inner Line Permit / Protected Area Permit had to procured before venturing on this route - both for Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake.
