Mr.Tsering Namgyal also known by Namgyal Raja among his adventure fraternity and snow leopard experts has been leading quests, treks and tours for snow leopard lovers for more than two decades and is a great snow leopard spotter in Ladakh.  He had lead many tours including research teams, leading TV Channels and Wildlife Tours for tourist from all walks of life and from all over the world. He has had his share for fun, satisfaction and joy of spotting snow leopards in Ladakh umpteen times and is eager to share his years of experience of spotting this elusive creature with our valued guests.

His association with the Ancient Tracks, as naturalist, advisor and as a local expert from years of experience, adds to maximizing possibility of spotting snow leopards in Ladakh. His insight into the details of paths, trails, ranges and behavior of the “Grey Ghost” of the mountains - snow leopards in definitely will add to success of many tours by Ancient Tracks / Ladakhwildlife.com

TSERING GYALPO

Chef

Tsering Gyalpo, popularly known as Gyalpo among the snow leopard team and is a great Chef. Has been in the business of Snow Leopard Trips, Trekking and Camping since  last 18 years and hails from Kaya Village of Markha Valley, falling under Hemis National Park. He serves local Ladakhi Food, Tibetan Meals, Indian Dishes and Continental and great Masala Tea. At the end of snow leopard spotting quests, he is to be relied for great meal at the Camp. 

MOHD RIYAZ RI'YUL

Office Executive

MOHD RIYAZ, a native of Kargil, brings nearly a decade of experience in the tourism industry. As the main office representative, he has been a strong support to Ma’m Kalswang, playing a key role in smooth operations. For the past five years, Riyaz has been the welcoming face of our office, dedicatedly catering to the needs of our valued guests with sincerity, efficiency, and warm hospitality.

GULZAR HUSSAIN HIMAYAAD

GULZAR HUSSAIN HIMAYAAD has been in the tourim industry as a freelance service provider for many years, including working as manager of hotel, camps and guest houses. He has joined Ancient Tracks in 2023 and has then been performing his duty as Office Executive at our main office on ground floor at Zangsti Leh, Ladakh. He is gentle and helpful.

KARMA

DRIVER

KARMA CHOSGYAL hails from Hanle in Changthang. He has been serving Ancient Tracks since 5 years as driver and tour assistanct. He is matured genttleman who knows the high altitude terrain roads inside out! He is an ex army personal and has served the Indian Army as Jawan till his formal retirement.  

TSEWANG NORBOO

DRIVER

TSEWANG NORBOO hails from Mulbekh village in Southern Ladakh, from Kargil District. He has been in the tourism industry at a young age with experiences of working with tourists as Marshal, driver and assitatand in wildlife and cultural tours. He is presently working with Ancient Tracks since 5 years. He is a gentle person and goes out of way to help tourists on journey to Ladakh with Ancient Tracks.
